why not get a k850,i wanted to change my for Lg Viewty,but i'm staying with k850,with R1FA035 firmware i haven't got a reboot once for a long time,k850 is a good phone,i'm very happy with it,just insert a good cam driver and good acoustic driver and i'm pretty shure that you will be happy also.
Btw,C901 is also a good solution,but if you wan't a k850 just go for it,a lot of people said that I should stay away from k850,but i got it 1.5 years ago and i'm very happy with it.
Yes,a good bunch of people had a problem with it,but there's a always a solution for it,and another bunch of people ,like me,are happy with k850.

i have been using K850I for sometime around now. My factory firmware (R1CA037) had some problems, but only minor
ones a slow media player, camera response etc and i was on the verge of buying another one!!!
But all that was cleared when recently i flashed it with the R1FA035. Now i have modded camera and acoustic
drivers installed and "ITS JUST SIMPLY THE BEST".
Now its all perfect, takes best photos and a very good audio experience.
I suggest u go for it, if u really like it.

just dont get it here is why


1. i had k750/k800/k700/t610/k850 and now w995 and among these k850 is the worst

2. the touch keys wont work is water droplets fall on it. this usually occurs when you are outside and sweating and when you attend the call , your touch keys wont work

3. crappy build

4. scratch prone. it very hard to keep it away from scratch

5. k850 is phased out model , IMO get w995 or something reliable , really not htis crap

but regarding keys not working, i don't agree.. cos i do travelling a lot due to the nature of my job,
and i come across almost every kinds of weather rain, snow, dirt etc. and i almost get my mobile soaked,
but immediately clean it, and maybe becos of that i dont get the peob u mentioned.
and again its not that crappy build. there are people who like this build.
but as u said its been a longtime now and if people need latest features they should go for a new model
than this. But still its the best.

This is asked many times and my first reaction is as always, skip K850 and get a C901. Only buy it if you get it cheap, and hope that you've got a good one.

Last week I just bought a 2nd hand K850, out of curiousity I did get it. Even though i already own a C901. During K850's heyday, the only reason that I didn't get it, it's because of so much negative issues thrown at it. But whenever I looked at it, I've always admire it. It's really hard to find a brand new K850 nowadays (at least where I live) so i settle for a 2nd hand.

My impression?
It was actually good. I'm used to the keypad layout now. Didn't experience any glitch or bug, it didn't even hang on me. Really love the style. been able to flash with other firmware. Tried dif'rent camdriver. Sound through earphone is great. Loudspeaker of K850 and C901 is the same (just great).

Here's the thing..after comparing photos of K850 and C901. The C901 has the upperhand.
But overall...K850 is a great camera phone and I'm really loving it

Trying K850 today, camera quality so crap. My k800 defeat it. It's run first firmware release,maybe because of this accelerometer didn't run properly. Where exactly accelerometer run,in media player only?i already set auto on setting,but when i place it landscape screen keep potrait view.

I agree with nnr3 and hihihans... Get C901 instead... K850 doesn't had much improvement in camera quality (compared to K800)..
But C901 had much better camera quality... Just look at || C901 photo thread ||

You also can take a look to || C901 Discussion Thread ||. In page 40, volume100 mentioned how stable C901 compared to K850...

In my opinion:
C901 support csv, xenon flash, facebook, threaded sms, google maps, better photos, no BROD, stable, faster media player, thinner and lighter...

But C901 is more expensive (about US$50) xD

About auto accelerometer, with first firmware, you must wait about 5 sec before it changes. Try to play a music, and it would be very slow... C901 changes instantly

P.S: I sell my R1FA035 K850 some weeks ago

Thanks all...btw this phone for my brother. I just worried it will get brod,while me and my brother live separately about 750 km. He can't use seus,so if brod come. He should wait next month when i'm going home. ìs latest fw have brod issue? Anyone with run latest fw but still getting brod? Or should i bough G700 his 2nd choise?
