C902 (£70 used unlocked) seems a little easier to get hold of than the C901, and seems like a good solid phone, anything I should be aware of?

Also, any chance of a little more detail in suggestions?

Hello.

I would recomend the C901.

I have the C902 and it has a great built quality, design and ergonomics. However it has a small display (2"), a crappy led flash which is almost useless and the camera quality isn't that good, in my point of view. I like my red c902, but I'll change soon for a more versatile and efficient point&shoot camera phone.

Edit: Sorry, I did not notice that you have a cash limite. In that price range, I would recomend K850 or a 2nd hand N82.

The only phones that won't disappoint you where imaging is concerned are C905, C901 and K810 because of the flash. You won't be able to live without Xenon, no matter how good a cam module it has if it only has LED flash, you'll feel like it's a downgrade. Let alone C510 which is the worst imaging device from SE to date I have to say. So probably K810 is your best bet with your budget but if you just manage to raise enough funds, get C901, the HSPA data connection is quite a jump from K800.

The camera has been broken for several months now so I can live without it being great.

The N82 is very expensive and having just read the hall of shame thread I don't fancy a K850i!
C905 is again edging out of the price range and I do wonder about the durability of sliders.

As it stands, my list is;

K810i, C902, or (less likely) K770i.

I like bestpic, is it only the K810i which has it? (EDIT: both the C901 and C902 have it)

C902 (£65-80) pros:
Generally newer.
HSDPA (I do tether my phone as a modem)
Higher MP camera (largely insignificant)

K810i (£50-60) pros:
Xenon flash
Better camera?
Less expensive
rugged

K810 was a great phone in its day but it's day has now gone. The A100 user interface of the K800/K810 has been replaced with the much nicer A200 that is in the K850i and C902. Esato members are well ahead of most phone owners so while a K810 will still appeal to 90% of people, nothing less than the newest latest technology even raises an eyebrow here.
If a C902 fits into your budget, go for it!

i so so so agree. i love c510 as a phone but i loathe it as a camera.
it has the poorest performance of all the cameraphones i had (k750, w810, w900, T650)
i sold my c510 last week after 3 months of owning it.
am planning to get a c901 - a descendant of the legendary k750

So the C901 hasn't been released in the UK, meaning it is new only at £160. I have pretty much decided on the C902 because of this, but most models are network locked. What's it like to get unlocked?
