The cheapest new phone I have bought outright was the G705 for NZ$300.
I've had a couple of subsidised phones (free when signing up to an account) but neither was an
I've had both V630i and V640i supplied by insurance upon payment of NZ$125 excess.
V640i is probably the lowest spec phone I've owned, relative to the other phones available at the time.
(My K700i and V800 were both premium phones at the time I bought them.)
