Turn off the phone when you don't use it. That's probably what SonyEricsson did when they managed to squeeze out 360 hours standby time for the Satio, which is what's specified in the product specification on sonyericsson.com

It's like when I was listening to Spotiy (streamed music) on my laptop, I disconnected it from the charger and brought it out to the terrace outside my apartment. Then Windows told me, that using the current power profile, the battery will only last for 1.5 hours, and do I wish to switch to a more power-saving profile? I answered yes, and guess what happened? It turned off the WiFi.

To some extent you should not have to turn off everything in the phone to get close to a reasonable battery capacity. It should be possible to use the functions in the phone, otherwise there is no need for them, and we could all revert to use a Nokia 3320 instead. That battery lasted at least a week btw.

One thing to do to improve battery time is to reinstall the firmware, strange but true, and when you do, make sure to remove and re-insert the battery first. The phone is not really OFF just because you turned it off using the On/Off button.

I dont own one of those but a friend does. His battery barely lasts him a full day. Often during the week you cannot reach him after late afternoon because his phone is out of power.

Hi to all. Try this... Go to settings \\ connectivity \\ admin settings \\ packet data and change from "when available" to " when required" . That helps me to got few more hours from my battery.

I charged my phone yesterday and it's now flat.

I got 17hours out of it. I sent 1 message and made 1 30seconds phone call. Apart from that the phone has been sitting with its screen off.

Not impressed. Bluetooth off, wifi off, 3g off. If I was using the phone alot, I'd probably get 12 hours or less out of it.

I've had enough and going back to the shop I bought it from to get a different phone.

after the new firmware update I think the battery performance has improved. however, noticed if you are using handsfree then it will eat up much of your battery very quickly. so probably worth avoiding the use of handsfree.

the phone now lasts decent 48 hours (though I accept is not enough compared to SE's claim of 350 hours) with couple of phone calls, 30-45 mins of browsing.

@Ericman - I thought the packet data setting is for internet browsing. but when changed, the top left signal icon changed to a big H in stead of broken connectivity icon before. let me check and I will report back whether I am gaining any time.
