is there any way i can suggest the phone to use the opera mini icon, which is on top of the media page(pressing left soft key)
is there a way we can resize the fonts using font.xml?
or i have to edit it in the layout main.xml?

Both of them are possible.
But its better resize the font itself also the layout main.
From font creator
TOOLS>GLYPH TRANSFORMER>OUTLINES>SCALES

no not using the soft key!
if you press the left softkey(media) button in the next menu above the photos link there's a opera mini link! if i click it nothing happens... i have opera mini 5 beta! is there a way i can use that link to open up my opera mini?

Link given in the media player directs to operamini 4.2 So if you want to use that link you have to have om 4.2
I will see what i can do to help you?
