Got my free sim card today, reading the booklet, don't really understand the 150MB of free internet. It lasts for 90 days, but what if I topup with a tenner before that time, will they add another 150MB on top of the current allowance?

Can anyone answer my above question? Can't find the answer anywhere on the three.co.uk website

I'm amazed by the speed of activation, almost immediately the free credit was added.

They're just giving it away!

Hmm. It seems for 5 quid you get 30days of internet @ 1GB. That's much better value than Tmobile. I might just stick with this sim. So after all it's pretty smart of three to give away 10 quid + some texts and internet if it gains them a customer.

Well think about this. I topped up £15 & got 150mb internet 500 text plus 5,000 3to3 calls. Then when i topped up again the week after I recieved a further 150mb internet on top of what I already had plus another 5,000 3to3 minutes plus another load of texts. It's crazy value i wonder how long they can keep affording to give so much away. I still had my credit also on top & the calls are cheap too.

Yeah also I wonder how long they can do this. Worst case they increase their prices and I'll just move to the next provider keeping my number.

Thanks for answering my query about the 150mb. Though I guess 5 quid for 1GB is nothing.

Have you tried the 2 quid tv add-on? I wonder what that includes, or is it just iPlayer or something?

No i don't bother with mobile tv i see no point. I got a massive tv at home. You also get free Skype free voicemail too. Gone are the days of T Mobile and Virgin free voicemail although i do not use voicemail very much.

I always turn voice mail off, I hate it. People leave tons of messages and expect you to call them back. I prefer emails or text messages instead.

I guess I will trial 3 until my credit runs low and then see what I will do with it.

You can use free edition of joikuspot on your phone, it will open an Wireless access point sharing your 3 broadband. The free edition only support http/https though, if you need other protocols you have to pay. Mind you you can use most IM client via http, or just use meebo
