hey mate

i had the same prob with my k850 too. It's the LCD ribbon that runs under the keypad. If u press the a button on the keypad the LCD goes black, after a while when the keypad light is off, the LCD lights up again. I had my LCD replaced coz it didnt lit up anymore. Urs is still good so i think u wanna put something under the ribbon so it doesnt conflicts with other parts.

Ok, cotton is the best way i think. Just hard to find screwdriver for it's screw, so small.

Thanks Mallarca, the main problem is lcd not turn on anymore. something wrong wrong with my step. Already done as your link, when reverse the whole procedure for reassembly lcd not turn. what's wrong?

I have the same probleme with my k850i. At the begining the screen get black ocasionaly but for a very short period of time, this hapenned rare in time. The condition became worst with time passing, first when i was presing the Down pad the screen get black for about 10 seconds. Then i installed the software again and again and the screen start to go black when i pressed all the directional pad's and the numeric ones,in the end the screen remains black but the phone is working i can call and dial numbers,enter.
I installed difrent kinds of soft versions but the result is the same, i replaced the keypads panel but with no result.I openned clean the contacts of the display but no result. I saw on the web that the display is to blaime is that true?
I read the topic but it end suddenly, did you manage to repair the phone? what was the probleme?
I want to buy a new display but i am not shure if this is the reale probleme.
