Shocking and I'm on o2 as well and was expecting that. Are you on pre-pay by any chance? Something that has bugged me for years now is o2 have two entirely different platforms speed wise for o2 pre-pay and contract and if your on prepay you get GPRS speeds and on conract you get better. It should be the same for both especially when people pay for an unlimited web bolt on with o2 prepay.

Then of course theres the iphone issue on o2 where o2 customers with iphones greatly reduce speeds on the overal o2 network or should that be o2 just has a shitty network

@tony ... nope, contract with unlimited web bolt on ! I'm also using the mobileweb apn
as opposed to the PM GPRS one !

Using O2 Pay Monthly settings I get ....
Download 0.2 Mbs (285.1 kbps) Upload 0.1Mbs (182.8 kbps)

O2 doesn't look like the quickest network - at all.

A Network Engineer friend who was sorting out the iPhone issues on o2 when it first came out, and implementing the content filtering into the network said o2 are the most absolute shittiest network and can't handle the traffic that's why slow speeds. They seriously need upgrading to actually be able for their customers to use mobile web.

Acording to him T-mobile are the most advanced when it comes to mobile internet.

I would be interested to see T-mobile speeds in this thread! I always actually thought Vodafone were best in this area.

T-Mobile and Three UK share their networks so one equals the other.

I've always said T-Mobile ruled the roost when it comes to data. Their network is good for heavy data users and they had great data tariffs to match.
