Well I googled a lot and it seems the C901 has one of the Best display of SE group. So I am requesting Centur to do the comparison with C901 and Hazel as soon as you get it.
Thanks.

Now do you believe millions of colors mean better display?

Agreed, it's a myth that 16M colors mean anything on a small cellphone screen. You'd need a netbook or iPad sized display to tell the difference. Pic of W995 menu display below (taken with the Elm , EV set to -3 to show off the brightness of the screen.

Why you guys are getting me wrong? I may not be an expert but still I am not a noob. I know that colors mean nothing. That's why I created this thread and asked whether the Hazel display is good or not. If I were that noob then I wouldn't have asked anybody and just purchase the Hazel for it's 16M color. What I wanna know is How the Hazel display is? Is it with the Best displays like- C901/C902 or an average one like W995.
Thanks.

The C901 display isn't the best, though it's better than the C902's display, the light sensor isn't good and it flickers from very bright to very dark. Why don't you just go to a phone shop and directly compare the displays of different phones?

The shops in our country or at least where I live doesn't allow to see handsets. There are just dummy versions you can check before buying but not the original unit. If that was the case I will do that first before anyone says. That's why I am nagging here.
Thanks.

Thanks, now I really need to see the Hazel display in comparison with others, so I am requesting center again to do a comparison please.

Sorry for the delay, had Elm instead Hazel:

New models not look good - their colors are faded

Hey. I have a w995 and actually i find the screen quite good, only the white tone is a bit off. My friend has the hazel. I don't think I noticed any difference between the two.
You can always try a custom driver for the display

(IMO keep your W995, it's better... specially the speakers. Play a bit with custom drivers and wait for a phone worth replacing your w995)

@TS

If you're concern is a vibrant display..why not check Samsung S7220 Ultra b (that is if its still available in your country). It has an Amoled display (but may struggle under the sunlight), great cam according to GSMArena. And I think it's a good alternative to Elm or C901.

More colors means smoother color transitions; Hazel has a larger screen than the Elm, but the resolution is the same, which means the Hazel has larger pixels (slightly). Larger pixels means that the color transitions are less smooth; this is compensated in the Hazel by giving it a 16m colors screen in stead of a 256k colors screen.

As for the brightness and color intensity, that depends on the ambient light; low light will turn down the backlight of Greenheart phones, making the colors seem more dull.

I previously owned a W995 and I was shocked by the poor display of it, the colors looked so faded, though it had 256K screen. The best 16M colored display (non touch) I owned was the N95. Can I expect same from Hazel? or better or worse?
Thanks.

You're the first person saying this about W995 display. W995 display is excellent even under direct bright sunlight.. And its 262K display is far better than n95 16M display. Even my older K850i 262k display is far better than nokia n95, 6500 slide and many other nokias which have 16M colour display.

In simple words, Sony 262K display is better than Nokia 16M display.

You asked about Hazel display.. I'm not sure about it but my Papa has a Yari (U100i) and its 16M display is very vibrant and better than K850i, W995.
