Well... at home Wap is kind of pointless... even if it has its advantages like being able to check what's on TV.
But the real use of wap is when you are not at home, and when you don't have access to a computer. It's great to be able to read news, check the weather ec, when traveling. And to be able to check the time table for a plane, train, bus or whatever. It sure has it's uses.

Wap has its uses... and yes it is useful even if you have a computer internet connection at home! Just like you need a mobile phone although you have a telephone line at home!
