Don't worry about it, you are deleting the internal IP's, not anything else. The DCHP server that assigns IP may have run out of IP's to assign, for example, you may still have an IP address assigned to an old phone etc.

Also, you could try it on another connection.

Once you have deleted the IP's, go into cmd, and type ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew. That will trigger the DCHP server to assign you a new IP.

Cheers

Hi lukechris,

can't work out where the menu option is to delete all IP addresses...

I have looked, quite well I think , for the option,,,

edit - maybe switching the DHCP server from here, and then switching it on again ?? is the answer

will this affect the laptop using the wireless connection, in the house? I guess not..

sorry to be a pain!

Nope, next time the laptop connects it will get a new IP.

Try the 'Local Network' tab, see what's in there. It should list all of the devices connected.

hi again, Lukechris,

Here is the local network tab contents.

I have a simple temporary solution..

I could try to connect with no security and see if I can connect, update the DSi XL firmware, and browse,

then, I can set the security again..

Hi lukechris!

I just updated the firmware on the router, and then checked the system.

The Router is a BT router, but the providor is Kingston Communications.... called the helpline and they have no one who can advise about the BT Voyager 2100 and also no one has any idea how to connect a Nintendo DSi Xl to their service!

Oh well! Might go and buy a new router tomorrow.. so will search to see what is a good choice.

THANKS AGAIN!

solution to Wi-Fi problems was to turn PC off, and just use the Nintendo DSi LL!

Yes, not a perfect solution, but it will do for now.

Anyone have recommendations for games, applications etc?

I wonder if it's possible to connect DSI to my phone and use 3G ? I've got Aino and Vivaz.
