This damn phone made me an SE fanboy again
absolutely loving it, I'm actually having a hard time taking it out in public as people can't help but stare at it. It's one stunning device and an absolute machine

Hats off to HTC for the runaway hit they've created with the Desire. A Tremendous success. Sold out in the UK in most places.
Now SE seem to be back on form they need to hit us with a thousand pound super phone. Lord knows what the specs will be but people will pay for such a thing.

Have to admit I am a big fan of the Desire, lovely device but I also love my X10. Now the battery life has been drastically improved it is now something you can use daily, without the need to charge it up or watch your usage due to the battery.
i have just got a htc wildfire as well, and although it is a little slower than the X10, there are features I like about them both.
I do hope SE get 2.1 out very soon, as the X10 is lacking in areas the wildfire has over the X10 mainly due to the 2.1 O/S.
Once the X10 has 2.1 it will be allot better and 2.2 will make it even better. I hope SE just go for 2.2 instead of giving us 2.1 then along wait for 2.2.

I doubt SE will do that!

Doesn't the fact that the x10 has done well even with so called crappy software indicate that it's the overall user experience that counts?
Of course having the latest iteration of google's OS is always a bonus, but it's not absolutely essential to ensure a particular device's success.

SE desperately needed a successful device and they got it. Now they have no excuse but to bring out a 'complete' successor that competes on all levels.
Unfortunately the UX will be scaled down due to Gingerbread being 'standardized' across all manufacturers by Google.

Im also pleased to be back with SE.This phone rocks. And hopefully the boys at XDA will cook us up a FROYO update one day soon so if SE do take an age to release it,it wont matter. But the X10 as it is,isnt bad at all.Love it.

Gingerbread shall have the option to scale down to default if needed by the user.

I guess developing a MeeGo high-end smartphone would be a nice solution to Google's standardization of Android Interface. MeeGo can be equally good as the Android or even better. Plus, it is like "hitting two birds with one stone" because as we all know MeeGo and Symbian^4 UI's are both based on QT 4.6.
