Hey guys,
Pardon my language and no offense meant, but aside from the guy's bulge, the phone looks big.

Yup. I agree. It's targetted to a totally different market. I just recalled reading somewhere about this new device from Nokia intended to directly compete with the P800. The features coincide with the story.
Also, it mentions about Nokia phasing out the 9000 series and will have a new replacement phone that will be out Q4 this year.

I'm definitely buying one when it comes out, Some guys who were reviewing the thing in London yesterday said that tomb raider looked exactly like its PS1 counterpart and besides it fully supports 3d games unlike the GBA. Besides its feature packed, tri-band and if it's priced around the the GBA It'll be an instant hit.
Main Point:
IT's a portable gaming machine first and then a cellular phone. Just like the P800 is a PDA first and then a way cool phone.
(Hopefully N-Gage + P800 will be the best combo for serious play)

@Crazystud...the N-gage IS huge... it's almost an inch longer, and half and inch wider than the P800!!! With less than half the power and features! (But most likely, also half the price!

)
The N-gage, along with the 9xxx successor will all be launched Q4... but what makes you guys think SE won't launch anything in Q2... er... I mean Q4?

For $300-$400 I'd rather get a PS2!
Maybe SE can come up with a counter for the N-gage... since Sega is partnering with Nokia...and the N-gage looks like Sega's Game Gear...maybe SE can make a kiddie handset that looks like a PS2 controller w/ a color screen! (Besides, the PS controllers do kinda look like old style telephone handsets!

)
They could make a PS2 style controller, where you can download portable PS2 games, use your character... then you can plug it into your PS2!!! Kinda like taking your PS2 game character with you (if it's an RPG) ..like an advanced Pokemon thing! HAHAHA... who knows? This is something I would get if I had a PS2. The X-forge 3D engine that MIB2 uses looks like a promising platform for mobile 3D games, as does the old Doom engine! Porting these to a 'youth' gaming phone that also doubles as a PS2 controller would really unite SE w/ Sony Entertainment! And I'm sure a lot of gamers would like connectivity with their existing game consoles.
Just some thoughts on my concept SE 'gaming phone'
-PS2 style controller (slimmer of course since it is a phone)
-Memstick Duo to save games, character, MP3/4s, etc...
-Audio/Video player (same as P800)
-12/15/18 bit screen, at LEAST 160x120
-Connectivity to PS1 or PS2 consoles to be used as a controller...either via cable or included BT adapter
-Mophun compatibility for existing T300 users
-Multi-player over Bluetooth or GPRS
-Java
-Symbian OS
-MUST NOT BE BABY BLUE AND WHITE!!!!

The targeted user group is 18 to 35 year old...call them kids if you want!
I wouldn't compare it with the TV consoles since it's not one of them...it's starting a new segment of online mobile gaming. B'ngo is already following it.
Remember it also has every feature from 7650/3650 minus the camera (plus MP3 player and FM Radio), so you can do lots of other stuff with it than just play.
