Yea, true. The resistive screen cant be compared with a capacitive one. Well at the end I'd also recommend trying out the N8 BUT make sure you have a good return policy. I hear some guys from India that there is not a way to return their N8 that came with problems. The N8 is a great device but as long as it works. There is a big problem going around the globe about N8 shutting down and no powering on at all. Happened to me also.

No issues with mine shutting down its been reliable. Remember its not just Nokia that has rebooting and phone issues when new on the market. I have had these issues with many other phones too

yea it is normal when reboots! But then what is when it shuts down and doesn't turn on. You cant even remove the battery. My point is if you make a cellphone that has a sealed battery then its gotta be problem-free.

All they say is hold down power key for eight seconds. Not happened to mine at all. Some people just get unlucky with a dud and for a change its not me

N900 seems to be more of a enthusiast device, there is just a ton of things that can be done on it, what you'd have to do is visit http://talk.maemo.org and just read through all the relevant stuff, i personaly would take the N900 without a 2nd thought, i had the N8 for review and its a great phone, but feels very limited in quite a lot of things e.g. Homescreen, modding, social networking and web browsing, the N900 just feels more open, so it realy is down to what you're into, if you want a realy "geeky" type smartphone get the N900, if you want a decent smartphone with a great camera get the N8.
