Unfortunately the Satio section is full of the same people who complain on every forum they can find about how woeful they think the Satio is. There is very little constructive criticism.

Let me give an example of the difference between constructive criticism and childish whinging:

Dear SE, The Satio is a great handset, but unfortunately it's full potential has not been met due to a few feature ommissions and some UI features which could be improved. I include here some examples:

1. in Media there is no way to search for a song name by entering the name of a song or artist it's only possible to search by scrolling. Even fast scrolling or (or the kinetic scrolling of the Samsung i8910) are too slow or clumsy when dealing with 1000's of individual tracks.
2. Due to fact that the file associations for music files are set to the stand alone music player and not the media player - when using the search feature to find an audio track, you can find the track efficiently, but it is disconnected from the media player and so cannot be added to a playlist, or progress the next track automatically. The search feature would be more efficient if it opened the full media player when you find the track you are looking for. This would be a suitable work around for point one above.
3. The smart search feature present in the C905, an extremely efficient means of calling an existing contact, is missing in the Satio. This feature could have easily been implemented using the onscreen dial pad. The existing procedure is clumsy and involves moving through several screens to bring up a contact.
4. The camera, while excellent, would have benefited from iso control and forced flash, two options that have existed in previous SE cameraphones and which would be expected of a top of the line camera phone such as the satio.
5. Native support of DIVX in AVI format.

The absence of the above features places the Satio in the very good category when it could have easily been in the very best category. Those of us who have used SE for years and have come to expect SE flagship phones to be superb in all respects, have had some cause for dissapointment with the Satio. That said, I personally am still very happy with my purchase, and commend SE for continuing to support many features not commonly available in other brands, for example the Active Lens Cover, xenon flash, highly flexible panels homescreen, and a full range of multimedia capabilities.

Versus this kind of response:

SE Sucks. Satio is a piece of sh*t. How could they do this to us, we paid lot's of money and they give is crap. This phone is useless, it can't do any of the things I want it to do. I am so angry with SE for not giving me exactly what I want. I don't care how good the satio is in other respects, the fact that it doesn't do kinetic scrolling means it's completely f*cked. I don't care if other people don't give a sh*t about kinetic scrolling, since I think it should be on there and I'm more important than 90% of customers who just accept their handset for what it is and get on with their lives. I need to have something to moan about - I need to think SE is in a conspiracy to rip me off the good money I paid for the Satio. They give me nothing in return - it's not as if there is anything really cool about this phone for example cool styling excellent resistive touch screen (because I am the best and I think capacitive is the best and don't understand how to use a resistive touch screen properly), great viewing movies on or anything like that. None of the good sh*t means anything because I'm like to whinge and SE should listen to me otherwise I'll never buy an SE phone ever again. Until the next time, because I need to have something to whine about.

Yeah, there is not much love going for the Satio.
It was kinda harsh for SE to release it and then 3ths later decide to do an about face towards Android. Reminds me of the P990i performance bugs.

I've got an iPhone 4 but I don't think I'm that much of a fanatic "I need an iPhone 4, I want the one with the GP's " lol.

SEs reposonses on the forum are probably limited to: Update with SEUS, if it doesnt work then send it to us for warranty repairs.

what more do you expect? If it doesn't work return it. If it's a bug then update to the latest firmware which is bug free. When I say bug I mean bug, not feature. Lack of features is not a bug. If I hear another person moan about satio not having kinetic scrolling I'll go postal. It's got fast scrolling which is much easier to start and stop and has some advantages over kinetic scrolling and is why se chose it IMHO. Se don't do shit just for the wow factor. They try and do stuff that makes the ui efficient, not pretty.

For every feature that one person thinks is important there is someone who hates it. I'd like smartsearch brought back. I consider it A very useful feature but some won't even notice it's absence. I don't moan and cry because it doesn't have that feature. I don't let that take away from the generally enjoyable and fun experience of using the satio. No phone has everything, that's one thing I've learnt.
