In the White Paper for SonyEricsson P800 there is written that it is possible to upgrade Your phone by visiting Service Point and by Yourself - downloading the files from the internet...
I have to find it - then I'll paste it exactly here.

It is not possible to upgrade firmware by downloading an installing! You HAVE to go to a store/service center and upgrade! PS Do not forget to backup your phone prior since the upgrade totally emty your phone
