Hi zillertaler,
Great news that you are developing for Android, thanks.
I'm getting the same as lukechris, the PC app is crashing when syncing contacts and calendar via wifi on a HTC Desire. Calls and Messages sync fine!

@Karun: MPE is compatible with G700 and also with X8 so you can transfer your data easily using the backup-wizzard. but don't forget to initalize the calendar on your new X8 before you connect it to MPE
@all with problems: I found a bug if the client is working on Froyo. Please type this URL in the browser of the phone:
www.fjsoft.at/mpeclient.apk This is the beta of the client. As soon as i get replies that the bug is fixed i will update the app also in the App-Market.

I can confirm that the new MPE client fixed things on a HTC Desire running Froyo.
It took 3 goes at syncing to get the calendar info though.
Thanks

EDIT: wtf... found a post here with an client.apk, had been nice if that was mention on the download page in MPEs homepage.. a bit easier to get it to work then.. or i am just blind. did't say anything specific about android phones
