The only compatibity issue one might have is that if your phone doesn't support wallpaper midlet/application then you will not be able set the application as a wallpaper but it should still install ...

All from Jp 7 started supporting wallpaper midlet/application

This K790 is JP-7.7. I'm able to set applications as wallpaper. Menu, settings, wallpaper and once I'm in there there's an option for Application. When I select that option it tells me: Empty folder.

but w995 works ...

my t650 have the option to set apps as wallpaper but none of the existing commercial apps works in it ... it say folder empty. so i guess it doesn't sopport it.

i once tried http://www.getjar.com/mobile/8688/mobytoday/ and it didn't work ... but work in w995.
