"Today, Sony Ericsson unveils the newest addition to its Android™ smartphone lineup, called the Live with Walkman™. Following the heels of its Walkman™ predecessor, the W8, the Live with Walkman™ is the first global Walkman™ smartphone for Android™."

From developer world.

So it is the successor to x8

At least it's better specs than before but they still need to make an Android Walkman version of the w995 imo but it's still ok. But I do think they need to think of more innovating features than xLoud for crying out loud A speaker that goes louder is not innovation

A W9 would have been ok.

...here in Dominican Republic.

I think it will take the X8 off the map. I still can't understand why Orange started selling the X8 this year. Hope they get it off as soon as this comes out.

Looks very nice IMO, and very well specced, i agree with Lightspeed, if priced correctly it will sell very well, its reminding me of the days of the W800/810, great specs in a nice simple package that can hold its own even next to the high ends.

I quite like this for the market it is intended. It is actually a very decent phone for the youth market.

The design is great. The social media integration and sharing is what's important for this phone, the social media savvy will love this. Price, as always, will be an important factor.

Plus, it does have HD (720p) recording and if the camera is anything like the one on the Play then there shouldn't be any complaints there either, and they had the good sense to include AF in the camera.

Would this type of Walkman device sell well with youngsters?? Is that the target market?? It's a funky little number and with decent specs and having the Walkman brand and decent price yes it should sell well. Lets hope it does have the Walkman trade mark sound. This handset is reminding me of the w900 which I had in white years back.
