At 190million units sold, over 43% in US Marketshare and over 50% global marketshare and 550,000+ daily activations he clearly succeeded.

Imagine if he succeeded however, imagine it was this year. What would be left ? iOS versus Symbian and Windows ?
The market would be a very boring place without the Android army spicing things up a bit. Steve was a very wise man who could clearly see what was to come in the future, but it does sound like he was a bit of a megalomaniac like goldenface mentioned. A dictator rather than a leader is not always good.
Look was happened to Gaddafi..

Android's will fight each other in the Matrix. Anyway, well it seems Steve Jobs is now worth more since his death with the huge sales so far. But I think Apple will not be the same now. Oh what a shame

He may be dead, but he has lots of followers, especially his successor CEO and i think the apple company as a whole will pursue Google as long as they can fund their lawyers, I respect Mr. Jobs for his creative thinking but i loathed him for his actions, and i think I'm not the only one who thinks that way. even if his belief proves technically right, there will be people who will always think that his logic is flawed.
