Unfortunately, "the worlds ruling powers" i.e. governments, waste much more money, then companies do, IMO. And they're wasting the tax-payer's, so our money .

@ Masseur, i interpret the topic to be about money, how a company has set aside money to simply battle another company in court. Whether it be Apple, Samsung or any other company. So no i dont interpet it being about another Apple versus the world thread. I think the primary point of the thread is how money is being wasted by companies such as Samsung.

I think you were going off topic by making it another Apple versus the world topic.

Im purely interested in discussing the $200m Samsung are wasting on stupid legal battles. If it were me, i think i'd rather let other companies have their way and make a big song and dance about how my money (if i were Samsung) was being given to cancer research or something worthwhile. I actually believe if i did that id get more customers by doing that alone !

I know its all business at the end of the day and its going to happen one way or another but i find it very distressing that i live on a planet and no matter which country i go to live in it'll always be this way - morally corrupt !

I guess Samsung is feeling backed into a corner & has to have something to fall back in regards to all this. I guess they have to "budget" so much money in case of this. But again it's alot of money wasted & unfair they have to do it

Who are we to judge Samsung for their priorities? They are not the reason why there is powerty, and who knows maybe they give more then 200 mill to people in need I think it is great that someone challenge those companies who wants to rule the world

Indeed very true. Its all getting rather silly now since i recently read HTC phones might be banned in the US. Why is this?? Cos probably Apple have realise HTC are doing rather well in the US

How much are Samsung worth these days out of interest

Etaab what you wrote about apple going out of business
At any point is highly that there rocketing in sales loved by billions
Worldwide

If company's seek to seek legal action
It's upto them at the end of the day there wasting
Toilet paper not money

Agree about poverty stricken country's tho

Then they should stop wasting cash
Spend more on better materials on there handsets

Android only might be above because it sells low cost devices
As well as highend ones

Tbh though a lot of androids Sufice poor manufacterism
Or are rushed out with issues

Apple I don't think experience this enough
Ok 4S might have issue on arrival but that was quick
To resolve with updates

I tho have never had a shoddy workman apple device
Unlike past android ones dust dead pixels overheating
Battery running out fast lol

Off to sleep now but I know this is off topic. But Miss UK Samsung have not built any phone with shoddy materials. Their metal clad Wave phones are not but the plastic on their Android devices does not fall apart or creak. It's just plastic. Android is not selling better JUST cos of low cost phones. Have you not noticed the sales of the GS2 over 10 million alone. Might be more. Many expensive Android devices are selling probably better than the cheap ones. And where did you get that all Android devices are rushed out?? I think the 4S was rushed out & not ready. That too had over heating battery & poor battery life. I am not here to row just making a few points. Also updates on many Android devices are resolved quite quickly too only network locked handsets are not. As for dust issue the 3GS suffered that too so Apple are not without their issues. Goodnight

I was never a fan of the gs2 anyway it's
A big slab with crumbie soft wear

Htc sense are miles better!

But Htc are one of the ones with issues
Google sensation you will find so many issues
With it on release I'm actually not surprised
The price of it has fallen rapidly tbh!

And as for apple I've never had a problem
With any device I've had iPod touch 2nd and 4th gen
iPhone 4 white and iPhone 4S which I'm using right now

I understand ppl despise apple but
That's upto them get a grip folks
Who cares if manufacturers want to take legal
Action what's that's gotta do with us?

It's there money let them get on with it!
