Look,it's a top quality camera with proper optical zoom and does all a proper camera can do but with the added benefit of being able to share your high quality images on the move. Judging by previous Samsung dedicated cameras which I have had two they are excellent. I used to have the EX1. You can share real decent quality stuff. I don't understand when people say,why?? Well,why have a camera in a phone?? You can ask the same question there. Phone cameras are great and its an all in one device yes but they still don't produce the same quality of shots a normal camera can especially at night. If this has full manual mode then it's even better and I would buy one. That screen is beautiful for images. I would love the idea of sharing my high quality long exposure night shots via the internet on my travels for instance something a phone camera does not do as well. Nikon have made one similar too. Samsung is innovating imo. More shots here. @teegee who's comparing it to a camera phone?? Just cos its called Galaxy with Android does not mean it's comparing to a phone camera. Only thing I wish for is Schnieder lens

@Bono, in case you didn't notice, TS has been comparing this to a phone.
So, apparently when a compact's quality isn't good enough, to compare it to a proper camera, people simply compare it to a phone. Too easy, imo.

Already SAMSUNG galaxy have huge market in India, US and UK. Galaxy model sales reaches all time high in market. I think this cam also create good market in different countries.

Thanks for the good review of our review @Guarulhos! Please be aware that I took the above sample photographs with 12MP (cropped wide), and not the full 16MP sensor. It's set to 12MP as default and for whatever reason I didn't check!
