No it isn't... the early concept phones of Ericsson proved that. They were about the size of the P800...and the P900 concept prototype looked really good!

Guys, sorry to be the one to tell you this, but IF the P900 ever gets released, there will be NO touchscreen. Take a close look and you will see the screen wraps around to the side of the phone. Current commercial touchscreen technology does not allow such curves. This message was posted from a P800

@Brick, yes when i said square i should have also said flat.
@jplacson, The reason they are "concept" phones is often because they are made to inspire people, they are almost never a practical buildable product.
Most manufacturers create round or oval screens on their concept phones to get us exicted but you will notice that Video, pictures, documents, web pages ETC all have er.........well CORNERS

@pachy, I know that... but its just the casing for God's sake!!! You'd think they could figure out how NOT to make it look like a soap bar! (P800 & T300 specifically) ... I mean, look... the T68i and T300 have the same internal components... look at one design over the other... and tell me that the T300 looks better than the T68i!!!

I don't expect oval/curved screens (besides, flat screens look better) ... but I do expect the casings to look more refined than a simple box-around-the-screen.

Take for example, the iPaq. Square screen, relatively basic case... but they did what they could to make the case look sleek. Curved/oval buttons, asymmetrical curves, etc... now look at out P800... square buttons, square case, flat screen frame (they could've at least made some curves here like they did on the battery cover)

I don't expect the real phones to look JUST like the concept phones... but don't show us a concept phone that we all like, then release a phone that looks NOTHING like it at all! How hard is it to mold plastic???

@jplacson, i couldn`t agree more that the t68m in particular (even the back) was one of the best looking phones made, i also agree that the ipaq (i had a 3870 myself) was also a great looking thing.
But look at the p800 & you can see all the lines are curved even around the screen, in fact the only straight lines are where the front casing meets the back top & bottom.
I think the reason i like the p800 is because it`s "function" over "form"
yes the ipaq is sexy but i couldn`t easily carry it, yes the t68i is sexy but the screen is small after having a p800.
So the shape i can live with, but my pet hate is the colour & texture, as i have said in other threads, i want all the blue parts to be matt black rubber feel like the t68m battery, the p800 needs grip.
