Buy both!

White suits the T39 better because of the white keypad illumination

Blue suits the T68i better

@mattoy
how much are you willing to shell out for a T39m (unit is unlocked but phone and charger only) i've got two of those right here. one's rose white and the other classic blue. please be reasonable for the price.

@Mill

Ok na sa akin yung phone+charger....important lang is no major physical defects and software/hardware specifically BT & GPRS are working fine. As for budget, honestly, very small lang budget ko ...kaya just tell me your asking price na lang...kasi ang dami nagsasabi na ang baba daw ng budget ko...eh actually...may artifical demand lang for this phone, kasalanan yan ng smart, kaya ang taas ng resale na gusto ng karamihan who have one...ako i just want to be honest whenever I buy something. Its an old phone tapos mataas ang gusto na resale. People sell/trade-in 2nd hand t68's in greenhills for 6-8k depending on condition, if I pay for a t39 for the same amount, parang niloko ko lang yung sarili ko...plus kung papa-upgrade firmware ko pa siya plus change housing kung bad state na talaga..lalaki lang gastos ko. I don't want to be rude so if you don't mind, ikaw na lang mag-name ng price mo then I'll see if pwede sa budget ko

fyi - the front casing costs approx. 600, the flip costs 1,100, the antenna costs 120, the back frame costs 800, keypads 300 so if you youre gonna buy a used one and hope to spend minimal on cosmetics you better think twice. wala pang existing na "class a" housing (read fake) ang t39. i bought a used one for P1,500 in greenhills and have changed only the keypads. tinitiis ko na lang yung scratches. im waiting for the taiwanese to make housings for this phone like they already do for the t28 and t68.

well, if you're thinking na you're going to spend that much for a T39m nowadays, well you have thought right! you're better off yet getting a 2nd hand t68 in GREENHILLS. pareho lang naman ng features colored pa ang T68, but if you're still opting to have a T39m..you can still contact me here..hehehe

IMHO: that promotion of smart was a real dud, it kept you guys hoping for something that didnt came na, so dont be surprised if we sell our precious, collector's item T39 at that price

sorry i couldnt let go of my phone at 2K.

and vwbeelte was i think referring to a casing of the T39 and not the phone itself, right vwbeetle?

@mill
would you let it go for P2,250? ehehe....well...i wouldn't mind spending 3000+ on aesthetics later on for the t39 as long as its in good condition and I get it below the so called "market" price...so anything around P2000 is a good buy as far as i'm concerned if I ever find one. My needs are not immediate. I don't intend to splurge on this old unit nor am I a die hard fan of it. I'm happily satisfied w/ my t68i plus my other backups, motorola t250, nokia 3530 & 3310. Besides...i just got my 3530, i'm still enjoying it.

So happy hunting for me.
