I hated the limits on sony but i am still a loyal customer of sony. I have almost every thing in my house sony. Phone, VAIO, CLIE, tv,dvd ,home theater sys and etc.

basically it means that the song will no longer be in your player and you permanently lose one checkout count on your pc.
well, unless of course if your friend returns the song

BUT. I don't think the p800 can support more than 128MB...

I guess we'll need to wait and see how big MS Duo sticks get and what happens to the P800. Im sure supporting a bigger capacity is something that can be solved by future software upgrades. I mean, if the stick fits in the slot then it's all software from there.

There are 512MB SD cards out there already - very nice if you have an SPV that takes them. Personally I don't like the memory stick and I'd rather have an MMC/SD slot, but I guess it'll have to do...

I must disagree with your thoughts on Sony. Although the P800 has tremendous promise it is also plagued by Sony's arrogance. The memory stick format is far from a standard. Now enter the Memory stick duo and the arrogance is increased exponentially; yet another non-standard format that will not be on anything but Sony devices. Consider Sony's history: they introduce the Beta VCR, sell thousands, and then because of their arrogance and greed, VHS emerges as the standard in the VCR market (and beta was a better format). And let's not forget the Memory stick walkman...a great idea until Sony decided that standard memory sticks would not be allowed to work in them. Instead they would introduce a new, more proprietary memory stick with encryption originally designed to protect the copywrited music owned by Sony Entertainment Corp. Oh, and what about the ATRAC3 format instead of the MP3 standard! History shows clearly that Sony's position is the market has been as an innovator who is so concerned about insuring their revenue streams and blocking competition that they end up falling on their sword and one of their competitors takes the Sony innovation and impoves it for the real world.

ms duo sucks big time ffs phones or out and they still cant give nothing to the market 64 mb u say i say thats crap to small at least 128 mb but when and the main question for what kinda cash dont get me wrong i love my p800 but this mem stick is b... s... at least for now
