I had similar problem, it was just a network problem/sim problem which orange sorted. Do think 72 hours is a long time to wait, Id phone them back earlier if i were you. This message was posted from a WAP device

so, how did you manage to solve it..? did orange call you back, if so, than, what did they tell you...?

Do not set it to gprs only.
You will not be able to receive calls or sms!
Automatic is the best choice and it has nothing to do with gprs working or not...

i am getting problems connecting with TipicMe -- it gets to about 80% and tells me to check my GPRS settings.. like everyone else i am on Orange, with 30 quid contract etc...

I too have been having probs getting email and connecting to gprs. Has anyone got a solid solution? Is it a case of take back and get new phone or is it a orange network prob.
