I'm sure that Ericsson will offer us an upgrade option, it'll probably cost a couple of hundred crowns, let's say 400 (about 45 €)

the difference ain't that big, it's just the cover, a "memory-slot" and 2 LEDs...

Ericsson will reduce the prices %25 in March. They have already made it for T39.I gave 400$ but its 300$ now. It's very normal because other manufacturers are creating new models with gprs and sell with less price.Nokia is prepairing to launch color version of 8310.we will see many color+gprs phones in CEBIT.technology speed is getting faster,to catch it you must have money.don't buy a new model with new features when its just relased if you don't need it much but also waiting for a new model to buy is not..

..but also waiting for a new model to buy is not a very good idea because whatever you buy, usually a newer model is published after 3 months.in a few years we will be able to watch movies play multiplayer games and transfer music and video with a phone same price as your t68.these services are already avaible in Japan so these days are not so far.I really cant understand why you are still talking about small changes in t68i(led,keypad etc. change) soz This post was posted from a T39

i dunno why you are all getting so worked up!

yes the T68 is a quality phone but it has to be beaten some time

if phones were never upgraded or new ones released we would still be carrying around bricks that dont even sms

you should be pleased about the technological advancement

if you are happy with your t68 then u dont need to get the new one

otherwise u can pay your money like everyone else to get the best

WTF are you talking bout any memory slot? Dont you know that T68 has a very large memory of its own. They just didnt put it to use before the MMS software.

Its very funny that mobil.cz and mobil.se have the news in their homepages, because its not official and i think that its funny that they speak bout a T68i cause any picture doesnt say that its T68i.

I sent them pictures, thatprove, that the new phone is a T68i.

I've sent to www.mobilmania.cz a bunch of new photos, and asked them to make an english translation. They will make it available about a hour.

That is a very good point that mikaalto has; Our T68s were made to use MMS and so must have quite a bit more memory in there than is currently unused to cope with it. But the introduction of a memory slot is ingenious, hats off to them, give it a few more years and we'll have pentium chips in our phones!

P.s. I wonder what kind of memory media it will use? Sony's stupid memory sticks are almost the size of the phone and now that sony has something to do with it you know there are gonna make another format instead of using something already availible - i.e. compact / smart flash cards. I bet ericsson wised they'd teamed up with Panasonic on this one because their tiny little SD cards would have worked perfectly.

One more question, I'm sure the T68i must be a little bigger to house the memory slot? Anyone know?
