i dunno but having ordered the normal orange version instead of this claimed 'enhanced version' I spect I could take it back under the sale of goods act claiming it was unsatisfactory goods, althought it is my first contract not an upgrade so i have 14 days anyway

I seriously doubt a software update would add nightvision.
The lens would have to pick up infra red frequencies then wouldn't it?
The zoom should be possible though.
I've seen some rather expensive sony digital cameras with nightvision...

During one of my conversations with SE they told me the reason for the delay was that they were testing out video capture which would be a standard feature in the UK version

Look, screw you. I am not just starting a rumour. I'm not telling you this is fact, but what is fact is that Adam Marsh emailed me this information. Phone and ask to speak to him yourself for clarification, but don't start slandering me without any evidence.
