I have exactly the same problem! I shutdown my phone, and when I power up, i lose about 1/3 of the battery. What gives??!!
I'm wondering if this is a "feature" of the T68. Does everyone have this problem? I'm on firmware revision R1C (upgraded from R1B).
I'm thinking of exchanging my phone under warranty because of this. But if everyone is having the same problem, then there's no point in doing an exchange.
Anyone who DOES NOT have this problem? What firmware revision are you running?
I have sw R1C. I shut down phone but I always have the reverse effect . Full bar.

Anyone else?
I'm very curious whether it's just some of the phones or all of them

Unfortunately it's not just a "feature" of the T68's.. My T39m (with the latest sw, R3B006) does it as well.

And it did it before the sw upgrade as well, so ???.

Well, the charge just can't suddenly disappear - I am sure the battery is still in the same state of charge as it was.
Like I don't always believe the fuel gauges on my car. Put in so much fuel, should drive so many km, unless you have a big leak!!!
You know normally how long your phone last from a full charge.

I have the same problem.
So I avoid switching off my phone altogether.
I keep my T68 ON 24/7

One thing that can cause this trouble seems to have to do with your network provider. Here in Sweden for an example we got 3 NP. When I put in a SIM-card from two of them I get a talktime around 4½ hours fully charged but when I put in a SIM from our third NP I got a talktime around 9-10 hours.
By the way, the NP that get's a talktime around 9-10 hours is using Ericsson hardware only
