mail & SMS = Incoming subspace signal (downloaded WAV off the net, reduced volume).

MIDI of black sabath paranoid for ringtone.

MIDI of sepultura refuse/resist for family ringtone (rings when family members call).

WAV of Apocalyptica playing "Out of Nowhere" by Faith No More - for work related (FANTASTIC RINGTONE - as it increases in volume and frequency as it progresses!).

MIDI of As I die (not sure by who) - for schedule reminders.

Apocalyptica is sooo cool!!!

Anyway,
I use the computer voice from Star Trek... I have to say... her voice is PERFECT for the P800... it's at the frequency that the P800 speaker amplifies the best... it's loud enough that it actually sounds like someone talking to you! Loud enough, that in an outdoor cafe...people look around when I get an SMS, it's really funny cuz they look around to see who was talking!

SMS: Incoming message
MMS: Priority one Message
Email: none... it got annoying cuz it doesn't play after all emails are received...it's played after EACH AND EVERY email recevied.

Calls... I made an IMY file when I was still on my T68i... it was a loud 'chirp'... still works with my P800, except it sounds better..and is incredibly loud... even when volume is at 2!

I don't use the personalized ringtones cuz there are times I hear my phone ring, but I don't know its mine, since I don't remember who I assigned the ring to!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

I use the song "Sexy Boy" Artist: Air as a ringtone.

It is just so cool. Takes 1.4 Mb in WAV. It is worth it...

define "normal"...

What type of ringtone are you looking for?

If you're looking for polyphonic sounds, try searching google for MIDI and add the type of song/sound you're searching for. There are hundreds of places with MIDI tones that all work with the P800.

It took me 2 days of work to get settled with ring tones that sound and act like ringtones and are unique enough to the point where there's no chance I'll hear another ringtone and mistake it for my own.

For "normal" monophonic tones you have to search for imelodies(the ones the t68i uses)
There are plenty of these available. Some are even worth your while.
But... Why?
You have phone capable of playing polys and even wav and you want to use those boring old monos?
