Even a single sided recording is useful.

I often need information to be saved from conversations. If I could record my side of the conversation, I would basically repeat the information (like phone numbers) as if I'm doing it to be verified by the other side. This way, I can later retrieve the information and write it down.

The only other alternative is to use a headset (or speakerphone mode) and write the information in Jotter. Slightly complicated

its messed up that you can't even record conversations on the p800 like you can on the T68i! i find there's a lot lacking from the p800 which the t68i has, which really shouldn't have been an issue to begin with. i hope future software updates fixes these.

I see the Nokia 7650 now has a free software update to record and play back movies so the camera is now a video camera !!!

Come on SE, get your finger out and sort out these gaping holes in functionality.
