I don't think overcharging the phone or running it with less that 1mb memory will be causing this.. Im sure youve read posts about the small file created on the phone to stop it running out of memory.. what would be the point in that if it wasn't sufficient?
Maybe you should look elsewhere for the fault - have you been using the same SIM card on both the dodgy handsets? Are there any dodgy sms's or other corrupt entries on there?
Just a suggestion.. but i also "over charge" mine every night and have done since I bought it.

I think that the real problem is not the P800,but the poor support of SE in some countries.
Naar,I live in a country that is the same like you. Here SMS is a real innovation.Because you have a faulty device, you should be able to get it replaced very fast.Because they took your money quite fast when you bought it, right? But they don't do it for you.Because you live in a country where SE service is alomost inexistent.
I had a similar problem here,in my beloved country.I went to a SE service center and asked for a firmware upgrade. They said to me that nobody had such claims before and refused to make me the upgrade.I was really pissed off.
Sorry for you.We have no alternative because we where unlucky to be born in these nice countries.

How do you overcharge it? I often have my phone in the cradle when not using it.
Havent had a single problem with mine, except some (
It sounds that you´re having a really bad luck with your phone!!
Admit that when it works as its supposed to its great!?
Good Luck Naar - dont give up, have faith!!

A similar thing happened to me when I overfilled the memory...
As the ir send went on and it was nearly complete... My memory was filled up... The phone got really slugish... Nearly a complete hangup...
I turned it of.. Then on. No luck. I beeped and vibrated... I took out the battery... Then put it back in and turned on the phone. Same thing.. But this time I decided to wait it out... After a very long time it actually started up.. But it was very slow. I figured it had to do with me fillling up the memory so I deleted something and it was back to normal...
I'm saying this since you were in the middle of a download...

I read an explanation of the Ion-Poly battery. The battery cells automatically disconnects after they are filled. You can't overcharge it.

well i was just stating the fact that this happened only after i charged it after the battery became full (it happenend both times so it has to be a cause)
the phone is the best phone ever!!!!!!!!! i did not say that. i just hate the fact that it crashes so much!!!!!
i guess i have to send it to my friend again but this time im going to ask SE to give me a brand new phone and not update my P800.

You cannot assume that a phone with full memory could be fully functional. You cannot load anything in memory or allocate more memory for anything -- even for deallocating or releasing memory. Just take care of this and there won't be any problems.
