i bought mine in downtown sf through the chinese store in china town i got mine $599 plus tax and contract with t-mobile, cingular or at&t you need a down payment and ready to get in two days just look for the chinese mobile phones

Well I bite the bullet and got my P8 today. The Metreon does have them $705.24 out the door!! (OUCH!)
@SFA - The # there is 415-369-6050 (Sony Style store)
The salespeople there are total A$$holes!! and their return policy is HORRIBLE (ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!) Any problems within 14 days, they will exchange it for you... after that, you have to send it out to SE...
The chic behind the counter (a real Bi*ch) wouldn't even let me open the box until I paid for it!! - Bad business practice, IMHO.
She also said that I was lucky, because the are sending most of the P8's down to LA?? -She wouldn't give me a reason why tho!! BI*CH

I am not sure if I could deal with insensitive salespeople at the Metreon, beside I can take my business where they treat me like a real cusomter, right?

oh ok.. so that's how you treat your customer.. he's really pain in the a$$
and that girl behind the cash register, she's sucks too.. I asked her nicely if I could open the box, she answered me like angry or something. I know because she was counting the money (I paid with cash), but c'mon treat us like the king.. afterall we are the customer.
oh about the cellphone store in china town, make sure you check inside the box before you pay. I went ther before metreon, and at first they gave me $650 without activation, I took a look inside the box, but I didn't really know what the different between new and not was, but now I know.
Just remember there are 2 manuals (English and Spanish) both of them are wrapped real tight, and the cellphone is inside a plastic bag, that if you open it, the seal will be damaged / broken.
The reason why I tell you this, because they told me it was new, at that time I believed them.. but now.. I kinda doubt it, but who knows.. just make sure.. and the strange thing is after they agreed with 650, they called someone and spoke in mandarin, later they told me they would sell it for 699, becaue of some weird activation reason.
Maybe they know that I was so desperate or something.. so I decided to try my luck at Metreon.
oh bye the way, based on the info that this girl gave me (IT'S NOT CONFIRMED YET!!!) nextel in Nordstorm SFO (Downtown) also has it, and RadioShack also has it, but I don't know if it's true or not.

it was a new one from chinatwon i got kmine since february. it was in the box with a seal. and they open it with me seing it to put the new sim card. As of now they got a stock i got a manual in german its useless

Ive had it a few days now and waiting for it to be barred due to it been stolen or something!
Don't pay anymore than £300 for them now! - they go for under that all the time on ebay.co.uk.
ALSO - keep checking places such as

Prices will come down - they always do! fast too! i expect within a month theyll be around £250!
Either my phone is due to be barred (in which case - does anyone kno how to get the phone's eeprom reprogrammed with a new imei number? - i kno it can be dun!!) or the guy i bought it from was VERY STUPID!! - im happy for now at least!

@350Z - Yeah, those ppl REALLY suck at the Metreon. The salesperson I talked to didn't even know what I was talking about... It was that chic behind the counter that 'sorta' knew about the phone!!
How did you like their "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" policy!!
So how do you like ur P800? Any problems? -dead pixels... What firmware is on yours? When did you get it?
