You will also get the list back if you pull out the MS Duo and put it back in

The trick with removing memory stick works. After removing it and putting it back in the app list appears. But I think the side effect is that all your apps go into the unfiled list.

I found out what was causing the problem. I don't know if this goes for everyone but try uninstalling BugMe! and the problem disappears.

The app list never disappears on me again.

Try it and tell me if it works with you.

This rearranging of applications is strange. I got my firmware upgraded and voila the applications were in the P800 default order as they are first. But already after a day or so I got them in alphabetical. Dont know for sure what caused this was it a new program installed or just shutdown but there they are now.

Same problem here. I have R2F, everytime I install a new app all my list disappears.
I didnt install "BugMe" at all.
I just turn my phone off and on again.
today my list suddenly disapeared just like that, and I just turned it again on and off.
I think some of the Apps cause it, but I dont know which ones.

This happens to me everytime I install a new app!

However... each app remains in it's folder.

An app called Sman (or Smanager) is available to download for free. This app has the option to 'fix applist'. This function does exactly that! I have it as one of the main shortcuts at the top of the screen as its also handy for killing apps and looking after your P800's memory. One of the hotkeys can also be used to launch it (eg camera, internet buttons).

Moving the duo in and out also has the same effect however.

Get SMan from www.my-symbian.com

everytime i install new software all files in the applications list disappear. i go into "tracker" then "running apps" select "applications" and hit the "close" button, hit "yes" twice to shut it down then it restarts a few seconds later.

If you delete or rename the alaunch.ini file in the c:\system\apps\alauch directory the application list goes back to the default Ericsson List
