In my opinion the t100 looks chic in it's simple shape. Phones like the n7210 look fussy and over designed i do n't know why they are so popular, people have bought the 7210 and found it's short comings and then bought a 7250 why?

But guys, Nokia is still the big winner..they know how to design their phones, kidz like them...and I have to admit, their last phones are so cool..the 3650 (big but still poweful)...and the 7250 will sell BIGTIME..watched the advertisment on the TV today...cool...well, those of you that find the design on the 310 cool...I just CANT believe that..no part of it is nice, the color is totaly wrong, many different colors that doesnt match...big and looks like a BOX. My hope stands to the t610........

I beleive Sony has a lot to do with the design of the phone
look at the
Sony Clie (boxy)
Sony Camcorders (boxy)
Sony Televisions (boxy)
Sony Digital Cameras (boxy)
I beleive there is a "trend" going on with Sony Designed products
Sony Cellphones (boxy)

So you are telling us the Sony bit is the physical designer, while the Ericsson bit is the software designer? Should be the other way sound really, Sony is way ahead in the software sector...it's not a good designer anyway.

I read a news article last week...its from a chinese press in malaysia.
It actually have a term for the design of t310....they call it "Kawaii" trend....I didn't read all but it is referring to those new design trend start in japan where you can find cars, stereo, to be very boxy and come with funky colour.
Since Its now SonyEricsson not Ericsson I believe they might be following this trend.
Of course this is a very radical trend...either you like it or you will hate it.

it's popular...and people will jump on the bandwagon
Ericsson has never been great on design
hence many of their phones were quite fugly
please remember...the designer of the T68
is the same for the T610
so it's all about change....change is good for
SonyEricsson
if there is no change...it'll be hard to be #1 again
in the mobile industry
