@bradmax
To be honest, it sounds like a fault - there's very little room for cock-ups when using BT on the P800 because you've got so few options. It sounds like it must just be a fault on the phone - worrying since you've just done the SW upgrade, though. That's what they normally do to fix things like that.
BTW, where, exactly did you get it done?

All seems to have gone smooth with my update, sync'd phone with pc and had all numbers restored via OutLook so that was cool, I then restored my back up version and that seemed to slow the system down majorly so i just resorted to a fresh start and will re-install everything manually...
a bit of a dissapointment though but the sms delivery reports still needs to be checked everytime you send a message ,unless I am missing the setting to keep it on permanantly

@ dave_uk
I would tend to agree with you but for both not work in the same way seems a bit odd? anyway Im now getting them to recognise each other I think its user error to be honest as I have never had any trouble with BT in past, Im going to go to cpw and if they can show me a headset working properly with my p800 then i'll buy one
@doowap
what you mean? you cant do the upgrade yourself?

@ bradmax57 Had similar problems with BT when first got my P800, couldn't send data from my T68i. Seems to have fixed itself....?
To receive, simply set your P800 to 'discoverable' mode, no pairing required. Then click 'accept' (if you have opted to be promted when receiving files). To send, again set to discoverable (both phones), select file to send and follow instructions. Works fine this way (R1D on my P800).

@bradmax57: I think you misunderstood me: I wanna get my P800 upgraded by a service point, but since it seems that recovering from a backup after upgrading slows the phone, I just wanted to know what the best solution was: either master reset the phone, then upgrade, then backup, or just upgrading it with all the user data and SW installed?

Indeed - which service center did you go to? I'm in Hilversum and I'm trying to guess which is the best to go to for me, but if this is an indication of things to expect...
