I agree with Diggs09. Wav files are too large, you have to be a litlle bit clever with what you use. I currently have 'ring my bell' can't remember who its by but it is absolutely perfect bit of disco and like lightboy wants to happen it totally perks the office up when they realise its a ring tone and not a pc.

You have to make sure that the wav files encoded at either 16k or 22khz and is 8bit. Something with more treble is a good idea, something light and bouncy. It carries better when its in your pocket. That said I've taken to walking around with my p800 in my hand to show it off. And I make sure my mate calls me when i'm on the train just to show off my ring tone. Sad yes, but once you've got a 'tune' on your P800 you'll do the same or wish that someone would phone at just the right time.

Froddan/Fahed_2000 have you tried AMR yet? when I get a minute I might try it myself, wondering if you've tried it yet and with what results?

Mark, no I haven't tried it yet. I've had the same wav on it ever since I bought it. Blue Öyster Cult - I love the night, a part of the song that starts, No mortal was meant to know such wonder. One of my alltime fav's, and kinda suitable.

I suppose its a question of need. I love it when I get oooh, oooh ooooh ring my bell! blearing out. Yours sounds cool too.

Dusting off my old CD's was one of the first things I did when I got the phone trying to find a suitable tune. I was a bit sad at the result of Mario Pui - Communication though, that mobile sound didn't come across at all well.

I read somewhere else that there was a codec GSM 6.1 that was quite good for ringtone wav's sounds Cr*p over headphones but is apparently just right for the loudspeaker on th P800 since it highlights the right freqs. and is about 1/10 comp. Don't know where to get it though unfortunatly

I tried FR David's Pick up the phone, but it's on a scratched up LP of mine, and didn't quite come up that good.
Another fav is Elgar - Pomp and Circumstance.

I've noticed that there's a big diff in the sound of different songs, even if you convert them all alike, maybe that GSM 6.1 would be worth trying.
