xda is a pc with fone whereas P800 is a fone trying to be a PC. I own a P800 and xda. I love the screen of xda. But i adore the convenience of d P800 bcoz of its size. This message was posted from a WAP device

Why dont u test drive the o2 for a few days before deciding. i tried a p800 for a week before deciding it was the right phone for me :-) i dont need to get a separate pda anymore for contacts and scheduling. This message was posted from a P800

I bought my P800 in January 2003. The O2 XDA was already in the market for sometime before the P800 came, I think. I bought the xda some two weeks ago.

I personally think that I would ever be buying a non-Pocket PC device in the future. A PC in my palm is what I want, not just a phone.

You should compare the P800 with another SmartPhone, not with a Pocket PC like the O2 XDA. There's gonna be a number of new models coming which use the Stinger OS (or SmatPhone operating system) from Microsoft. Stinger OS is for devices with small screens and it sports the usual Windows XP logo in its standby screen.

I just saw from Gitex a new smartphone using Stinger OS. It's called
i-mage from the UK. It looks cool. But then again, I need a PC in my pocket... not a phone with smart capabilities.

I still have the P800 with me though. When I go out jogging I need a phone which is handier than an xda.

I use Opera with the P800 and it is a lot better than the Pocket Internet Explorer in the XDA. If you ask me, this is the single thing that keeps me from getting rid of my P800. (Until Opera is able to come up with a Pocket PC version, of course.)
