Hi I'm on the Orange network in the UK. I used to have problems texting my friends in other European countries and i was always email Orange to complain my messages were not been delivered. Make sure you input the number with +44 and miss out the first "0" from the mobile number i.e. my number is 07813****** so should be imputed as +447813****** . Also check this page on the Orange website
http://www.orange.co.uk/cgi-bin/international/country.pl and select USA from the drop down box. If your network operator is not listed there then the chances are that you will not be able to text an orange user in the UK.

Sending a email as a txt is not realy sending an sms.Get service with Tmobile for a truly international GSM provider.

Sending texts as emails?! Well if it works the UK/European user may have to reply with an MMS rather than an SMS (UK Vodafone let you send MMS to email addresses) or possibly if their operator offers that service

It sucks that we're on different systems than the rest of the world. I'm trying my people in Cyprus from online and it's not working. I've tried thru my carrier too Virgin but nothing.
