ALL8 > Yes You can use 256 colors on the T68, but with wap-pictures thats usually to many colors.
I have pictures on my website in different amount of colors, thats to big for wap,..but can be used with e.g. cable, IR or bluetooth.

I have to say that up until now I have been pretty dissappointed with the backgrounds for the T68 so far................until I downloaded picture number 1031 from the Esato WAP site!! This is by far the most impressive I have seen and does not show up the T68'srather weak 16 colours at a time display as most do. I suggest you check it out just so you can get that extra 'oooOOOOoooo' factor when showing your friends!!!
BTW does anyone else recommend any good background images?
Sorry, But how do you get picture 1031 using a PC

The best way to use the ericsson sever is by visiting the sony-ericsson site and using the product finder to find the T68 then use the wap configurator to send you the settings automatically!

I kinda agree that T68 can only admits 16 colours at one time. I have compared a 256 colours image on PC screen to the phone's screen. Colours are really world apart; like the phone's screen does not match up to the 256 level.

It's all to do with the pallette you use. If you use the "Standard/Web safe" pallette then you get all 256 colours. If you use any other pallette then the T68 does a nearest colour match.
