Yea but wot about those new batches from SE with the T610 fixes? Can we find out via firmware upgrades or the packaging? Dont fancy purchasing a T610 to than find out I'd have to send it back to SE for fixes!

The T610 is scheduled to be released in Malaysia in a few days time. According to SonyEricsson Malaysia, our first batch shouldn't have the hissing problem. Lets just hope its true.

No, i have asked but there is no visual way of identifying the hissing batch, especially since it is a component change and not firmware upgrade.

Just called SE Service Centre and was told that there is no firmware or hardware component available to change the T610, contrary to what SE customer care has said.
Left hand not talking to right hand again...
Another bummer...
