I tried converting 128Kbps MP3s into 96Kbps Ogg and the audio quality was BAD.

I then proceeded to use FreeRip the same CD directly to 96Kbps Ogg and it sounds WAY WAY WAY better than the origina mp3s.

I can't hear any audio artifacts, simply clean clear sound!

The only problem with oggplay, that I see, is that it crackles when ever the phone does something...

BTW, is it me, or does the P800 have way too much Bass?

I noticed the bass thing yesterday. Very thumpy. My guess is it's the headphones, which seem rather middling. You can get a 2.5/3.5 jack convertor and therefore use some quality headsets but then you lose handsfree.

P800er.com has an adapter to allow use of handsfree and your own headphones.
