I know it stinks for them not letting me have 2 contracts but then thats singlepoint for you (haha pun intended !!!)

cool mate if u got the phone for £150 but i suppose for the remainder of the 9 months you would be paying at least £15x9 = £135

So effectively u pay £150+£185=£285.00 haha i still win !

I am getting 500 mins anytime and 100 texts for the 1st three months then its upto me.

So you can cancel your contract after 3 months? The quote above makes it sound like you can only downgrade to a lower price tariff, same as me.

So won't you be paying 9 x £x anyway? Maybe I just misunderstand. But it's cool if you can.

I had this problem with phones4u as well. Went in and they price matched a price I had seen on the net of £199.99 on Orange 200mins xnet and 120 text mesgs a month. I have two other phones on Orange one is my wifes. They told me I can not have another one on Orange so my wife signed up for it. Now here is the worrying part of it. I first gave them my details name DOB address and so on. It was declined for reason above. Then my wife gave her details nmae DOB address and so on. After 1 1/2 hours in the shop we walked out with the phone. I got home and rang Orange to be told I can have upto 6 phones on my account. So I said I wanted to transfere the handset to my name as this makes it easier when sorting out problems. Now the problems started, they needed to speek to my wife to allow me to do the change over. So they asked her the details and she gave name DOB and here was the problem, they had registered the phone in her name my DOB our address and my password. Now they had to do a credit check on my wife to do the contract. So how did they do a credit check when my DOB was given and not my wifes. Fortunatly we have managed to sort the mess out, but it has taken 4 days of calls to do this. Orange are checking into this as they say a fraudulant act has taken place by phones4u in using incorrect details to get a contract.

@Anuj, its a nice price mate & i hope all goes well. just make sure you read the small print correctly, networks make it VERY difficult to do the reducing after 3 months part of your plan. so please take note;
Some networks want a written request from you a certain amount of time before the change (ie, 30 days notice).
Some networks make out they didn't recieve the letter or say it went to the wrong department.
They also sometimes refuse ( unless you really pressure them) to drop down the tarrif, a manager writing on the contract means NOTHING as its the NETWORKs print that your signing to, not some shop idiots handwriting.
So get it right & remember alot of people get caught out & end up paying more by not aranging the changover early enough.
If you arange the drop down on the phone , get Voda to confirm it to you in writing.

HOW ABOUT ANUJ you include £5 petrol for 30 miles X 4 aswell ! lol (if you're going to be precise)

IN WHICH CASE I'll also include the £2 I spent on the phone organising my FREE UPGRADE from T-Mobile which I got issued a 100% free upgrade.

Working out the £2 due to the general £6/hour labour and I spent 20 minutes organising it - so £2 worth of my time spent!

Best deal on a P800 around .... possibly!

(P.S. I live in Watford! Anyway enjoy the p800 its great mate!!)

@pachy: Thanks for the valuable advice. I would look into the contract change after month 2 but I dont think (and hope) it shouldnt be a problem as I did exactly the same with Phones4u/Singlepont on my T68i without any problems. Just one phonecall did the job.

Strange that they declined you saying that you can't have 2 contracts on the same provider, I have 2 Singlepoint contracts on O2, and a Carphonewarhouse on O2 as well.

Singlepoint are like that, very inconsistent.
