Just got back from the Vodafone shop, I exchanged my T610. They said they exchanged it for a new one from the 5th June stock. Just got it home and guess what it still hisses.

Must say it's not as bad as it was. But still there.. Now I can either go back and get another or get a refund.

I ordered mine from the CPW on Friday (all the ones in the shop had hissing) under specific instructions to check for hissing. It will arrive on Monday.

Cost = £149.99 on upgrade
O2 50 + 150 SMS = £25/month
It is cheaper than equivilent t-mobile & orange tarrifs new @ CPW cus they have less SMS' per month.

As I also said they do not have it on the website, I phoned them up. They are the same people I got my P800 from.

Mine is W13 , It's fine with me doesn't hiss. I think the hissing problem is just an illusion. Maybe you should check ur ears and hearing centers

Hi Mark

Are the ringtones still as loud as before or are they quieter. It may be that they have just turned the amp down so the volume of the phone has decreased, thats why the hiss is less!

The ring tones are the same as before. I heard that they would be quiter as all they done was turn the speaker done.

I will have to get e2save to check the battery numbers IMEI with the T610 they intend to send me to reduce the chance of another T Hiss 10.

I have a TMobile T610 (Early one 03W17), and definatly has the hiss problem, Got it friday, and TMobile said to take it back to the shop and they would switch it over, anyhow I've noticed there is practically no hiss at all (if any really, tested with the recorded message of the voicemail) when using the MP3 Handsfree..... Not tried it with me BT set yet though. Besides that nice phone so far definatly better RF than my t68i, just a pity about the hiss, and the fact it only has 2mb (ish) free mem, used it all up with tones and stuff! bummer......
