Well, i doubt i wll use the camera any more than occasionally, but it will help if it still works when it comes to selling the phone for a upgrade. Whenever that is.

There's a little black thing in a little bag in the box the T610 comes in. I thought that might be a protector thing but haven't really bothered looking. If it's not, whats it for?

there's a small black rubber and a same shape and size which is reflective (mirror for you to takes pics of yourself). i guess the on the camera, the most external piece of glass/transparent plastic is the protection from the actual lens (very small) so its okay to use the provided cloth to wipe off dust carefully.

I laughed my ass off when i first checked that it is a mirror attachment, i first thought it would look cooler that the rubber thing.
But in my mind its very useful, i take "blind" pics of me and my girlfriend quite often.
