@701
actually for my plan which is about US$25 a month, i get 210 free minutes and a little over US$10 consumable via SMS, MMS or GPRS.
FYI, SMS is US$0.018, MMS is US$0.094 and GPRS is US$0.0047/kb.
BTW what is 10x?

Hey! If it is true that Smart does provide stable and reliable GPRS connections and service I think I have to consider transferring to them also. Because right now it is not possible to access Esato using Globe.

Remember one thing... under Smart,
ALL internet traffic (including WAP) is billed. With Globe, restricted WAP access is free, full internet access is billed.
I send and receive my Yahoo mail for free with Globe, I check movie skeds & reserve tickets for free. Basic Google searching is free as well, as is getting news from Inq7.net. Esato is a hit-and-miss thing...sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... I don't really care since it's free anyway.
The few times that I NEED to use Opera or the built-in POP email client... then I don't mind paying. Since my mobile surfing is very erratic, I don't really need to be locked down to plan (G-Surf or Addict) that requires me to use data services, whether it be MMS, GPRS or whatever.
--------------------
Ok, I'm looking at the 'addict' rates and I'm wondering... what's SMS IOD? And are calls & SMS to other networks also counted as the 'free min' and part of the consumable SMS? Thanks!

@jplacson
the current issue with globe is that even on the paid APN, they are blocking WAP sites.
