I think you are forgetting one thing. Oplayer supports streaming video so there won`t be anything stored on the phone.
And answer to the question on why teh T610 would handle streaming video is: Why wouldn´t it if the Nokia 6610/7210 can? The T610 has a larger colour screen and so on.
