I've re-installed Opera.........I had a few problems but I think this was too many app loaded...Opera seems to need about 1700 kb free.

Still though I cant load any web pages it just says 1kb

Any ideas anyone?

Is it my P800 or Orange?

thanks

Havent been able to use Orange GPRS now for about ten days. I have a call logged with their technical team regarding it but they havent gotten back to me yet. I have tried my sim in another P800 though and it still doesnt work so I know its not my phone, it has to be a network problem.

I have just called Orange as well and told them that I am pissed off because I havent been able to use my GPRS in nearly two weeks but I that I am still paying for it, and they have agreed to credit my account back with the money for the unused days of GPRS. I would suggest you guys do the same.

Maybe if enough of us start getting refunds on our GPRS and they start losing money, they might shift their arses into doing something about the problem!

joneill18

thanks for the info

I rang Orange wireless support today (Sat AM) & they admit there is a problem.

They have credited my account with £5.00 for my inconvienience

I'm still unable to connect to the internet, get e-mail or update the weather on Worldmate on my trusty P800

I was just thinking the other day how trouble free my P800 & Orange had been !

I hope they (Orange) fix the problem sooner rather than later

The only problem with GPRS is it's reliability.

Orange have 6 GPRS nodes which cover the entire country.

If one goes down or has performance problems then it can affect millions of customers.

There are supposed to have been some problems with GPRS recently.

After two weeks without GPRS, it has suddenly just kicked in and started working again, so I take it whatever network problem it was, Orange have sorted it.

On the plus side, I just phoned Orange customer services to enquire about some compensation for the two weeks I havent been able to use it and the lady I spoke to credited £20 back onto my account, no questions asked!! Thats pretty sweet, huh?

Mine still isnt working and im getting a little bit pissed off. Every time I call them they fob me off saying there is nothing they can do and I have to wait until technical support call me. I logged the problem 7 days ago and was told it would take 72 hrs for them to call me.

If I wanted a phone for just calls and sms I would of got a Nokia 3310, i know its not the P800's fault but Im considering going to 3G instead and ditching my P800.

"Mine still isnt working and im getting a little bit pissed off. Every time I call them they fob me off saying there is nothing they can do and I have to wait until technical support call me"

The question has to be : What do you expect Customer Services to say?

"Yes sir, If you just hang on for a minute, I'll get my toolkit and pop down to you local GPRS node or HLR or transmitter and fix it for you"

It could be any of those things which is not working.

You'll just have to wait until someone does sort the problem out.
