Hi
I've used quite a few phones, both Nokia and SE. I feel SE phones are way ahead when it comes to technology and features. But its Nokia that seels far more phones than SE.
Lets compare:
1.

T610 is way way ahead of Nokia phones like 7210/6610/6100 and even the 7250. Even the T68i is great. But in India, for example, the

phones are practically unknown even though they are better.
I'm in the business of selling used mobiles phone/electronics gadgets and frequent phone shops pretty often. Recently I've seen many customers buy a Nokia phone because it has a built in FM Radio (FM has taken off in a big way in the last couple of months here).
In contrast, the

HPR 20 FM Radio Handsfree is STILL NOT AVAILABLE in India although it was launched ages ago.
2. Consider the

P800 : Neither 64 mb nor 128 mb MSDuo is available in India. In fact

dealers/distributors/service centres are not even aware of it. A killer phone like this is let down by PATHETIC after sales service/support
3. Software upgrade for

phones is still not possible in India. Not atleast in Calcutta (the city where I live).
In contrast, Nokia service centres can do sw upgrades in 30 mins if there's no rush.
The bottomline is that in many countries (say, like India), if Nokia is BAD then

is WORSE.
I'm using a T610 right now but will most probably change to the Nokia 3300 because music/mp3/radio features are a must for me. I change to the Nokia 3300 even though I feel that the

makes the best phones. But I'm sick and tired of waiting for

FM radio handsfree.
IMHO thats most probably sums up why the N-Gage will sell like hot cakes although
phones are much better

needs to understand that in emerging markets like India, selling a phone is not enough. They need to back it up with rock solid service and afordable and widely available accessories.
What do you people think ?
Cheers!!!

I think you got a point. Since

phones are far better then Nokia
and Nokia still sells so much more there must be something else that
make

lose customers.

has come back alot in Sweden though taken big chunks of the market here its not that hard to buy accessories if you dont have a store in your town you just order it over internet.
If

would be a little quicker suppling phones to the market when
the market wants them and then backup with accessories and keep
doing these great phones they will turn the trend! Go

!!
Another thing they could do to improve is make it easyer to update the
phone where there are new firmware if ppl could do it them self they
wouldn't be that considdered over small software bugs when buying the phone.

You cant knock Nokia (who's there....) because they are appealing to a market they know full well they will be able to ship units to, after all they are a business, they need to make money and if a few hundred thousand spotty anime loving geeks buy it then they've achieved making a few quid.
Its all business, unfortunately Nokia will never be getting my business.

like every other phone on the market, it doesn't matter how many features a phone has, it depends if it's right for you and if that's what you're looking for.
i wouldn't buy it. i already have a phone, an mp3 player and a GBA.

Nokia do not allways get it right for example the 5510 was not exacttly the most popular phone going,
Though se don't help them selfs, in the uk t300 facias have never been generally avalibe on the high street, backing up ac's comments.
