I think they should have left the LED and made it like it was on older Ericsson models ie the LED flashes quickly if you have a new voice/text message until you acknowledge it. That way, if you've not been near the phone for a while, you'll see immediately there's something to check. The T68i, unfortunately, flashed for a very short amount of time after an incoming message. In my opinion, it seems some of the good parts of the Ericsson-style interface are being eroded - the LED and the move away from the YES/NO menu structure.
